This training will explain how to use SysML, the system engineering modelling language. You will particularly discover block diagrams for the structural modelling of complex systems. You will deepen your knowledge of sequence diagrams, state diagrams, and activity diagrams for dynamic modelling. You will also learn to use specific SysML diagrams such as requirements diagrams and parametric diagrams, as well as the concept of allocation. We will also emphasise the importance of defining a modelling approach, suited to the company context and the type of system being studied. Practical exercises will be conducted using NoMagic's modelling tool, Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).

Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is a robust software development methodology that emphasises modelling intricate software behaviours by aligning technical execution with fundamental business concepts. This course examines how DDD enables teams to manage complexity and mitigate risk via strategic and tactical patterns. Participants will learn to develop a 'Ubiquitous Language', establish clear boundaries through Bounded Contexts, and apply specific architectural building blocks such as Entities, Value Objects, and Aggregates. The objective is to construct flexible, maintainable software architectures that remain aligned with the evolving business domain.

Through a blend of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive labs, this course illustrates the foundations for establishing and maintaining an Enterprise Architecture (EA) using the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) version 1.2.

This instructor-led live training is designed for beginner-level engineers and professionals aiming to use MBPLE within CATIA Magic to understand and implement product line engineering concepts.

The OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental examination assesses the knowledge and skills necessary to create a basic SysML model of a system. It covers model concepts and organisation, fundamental requirements capture and management, structural and behavioural models, parametric models, allocation relationships, and the use of stereotypes. By combining the knowledge and skills demonstrated at this level with proficiency in a suitable SysML modelling tool, a holder of the OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental Certification should be a productive contributor to modelling tasks undertaken by a Systems Engineering team employing a model-based systems engineering approach using SysML. The OCSMP Model Builder – Fundamental Certification is a prerequisite for the program’s two higher levels and requires the OCSMP Model User Certification as its own prerequisite.

This examination (along with others in the OCSMP series) tests your ability to apply the knowledge and skills outlined here within the context of a system model. As you study, look beyond individual diagrams to understand how aspects modelled in one type can influence or affect aspects of the system represented in other diagram types.
