Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a leading commercial BI solution for a key product. To significantly reduce licence costs, they opted to migrate to an Open Source system, specifically Superset.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged with the client in several project meetings to fully grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. This understanding allowed us to draft a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project's progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting needs of each report type. We recommended changes to the data stores to maximise the utility of Superset, ensure optimal performance, and guided the implementation team through these adjustments. Once the data store and data pipeline were optimised, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new business and customer requests. To facilitate the requested data presentation, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Our consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organisation to maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer’s business and their end clients. In testament to its success, the project has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
