  • Understanding the concept of databases and comparing RDBMS with DBMS.
  • Exploring different RDBMS solutions available in the market.
  • Introduction to SQL Server and working with SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Utilising sublanguages such as DDL, DML, and DCL.
  • Creating tables, defining data types, and establishing constraints.
  • Executing INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE statements.
  • Employing SELECT queries and their associated operators.
  • Using keywords such as NULL, NOT NULL, AND, OR, BETWEEN, EXISTS, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, and the HAVING clause.
  • Exploring built-in functions, including mathematical, string, and datetime functions.
  • Working with views and understanding their role in data access.
  • Utilising joins, including various join types, to retrieve data from multiple tables.
  • Working with subqueries, including correlated subqueries, and understanding the differences between subqueries and joins.
  • Understanding Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and using recursive CTEs.
